One Way To Look At It

Well, I am just in the mood to stay in bed all day - if only I could. So with that in mind, let us start the day with a sense of humor. Have a wonderful day blogger friends!
A wife and her husband were sitting at a table at his high school reunion, and he kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table.

His wife asks, "Do you know her?"

"Yes," he sighed, "She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since."

"My goodness!" says the wife, Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"

Ha-ha-ha-ha !!!!
Nomas, that was good grim humor !

If you can't stay in bed all day, I wish for you the comoforting scent and welcoming feel of clean sheets and pillowcases when you get back into it tonight !

I read Firefox's post today, and your comment, and agree with you --it is up to US to set boundaries, and walk away if they are not honored, a.s.a.p.

A man can be a pr***, but he can only get away with it if I co-operate by making excuses, rationalizing or not leaving.

I am gonna try not to put a crown on every wart-free bullfrog that I see !

Good for you, btw, by setting the example of being treated properly... Maybe it's like training dogs...
If you are sure you like that breed, after all !

Hi Nomas. This is a tough time for you. I know the pain well. Where I come from. when a man does a self destructive mistake like your ex has done. His best friend leads him into the forest and puts a bullet in his head. Thus ending his desire to self destruct and the hurting of others around him..

Wally Banners has a good idea.....

Ahh...the sweet smell of dissention is in the air. I love it! Personally, I with Wally and I feel that part two of that story is left unfinished as the Best Friend then goes back and starts dating the woman his best friend was with.....Love is a very sorted affair.

I'm so glad everyone enjoyed the joke. In addition, let me clarify something. Hubby is a very good man - we just cannot live together. He does make sure I am okay, calls and offers encouragement. Then there is the jerk I began dating a few months ago (the picture I posted under "Love of My Life?" He told me I was "IT." A few weeks later, he wrecked his truck on the way to visit. I loaned him my BMW to drive til his truck was repaired (27 days later it is still in the shop). Within days, he stopped calling me, would not return my phone calls or emails yet he still has my car. Now it has broken down while he was driving it (the BMW) and he doesn't think he should repair it! There has been alot of ugliness going on as you all may well imagine. Anyway, my BMW is STILL at his house. I am most likely going to tow the thing to the shop and send him the bill with a lawsuit to follow if he doesn't pay.

So, the "EX" we want to have put down is Calvin S. Lawrence. He is with Southwest Airlines in Houston - flies from Bastrop/Austin to Houston everyday for work. Any of my friends in Houston???

Blue moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own
Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for someone
I really could care for
And then suddenly appeared before me,
the only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper 'please adore me'
But when I looked, that moon had turned to gold -
oh oh oh Blue moon, now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own
Without a love of my own (Blue moon)

NoMas, sounds like a Big Loser! Ditch him FAST! You don't need that in your already fragile state.

Oh, LB, did you write that for me?

I wish you wouldn't assume the identity of that loser LB in cowboy hat - believe me you do not ever want to be him; afterall, he is the car thief! How about GB for "Georgetown Boy?"

Thank you for the beautiful poem.

Cookie: he is done! But, I am not through with him yet - still must retrieve my BMW and probably file a lawsuit against him for repairs. I'm just playing it cool right now so that the ball is in my court (pun intended).

BTW: y'all don't know that he is also my brother in law (ironically I met online - we hadn't ever met in the 10 years my brother has been with his sister) so that makes for a sticky situation.
