Flying on Winged Feet

Please stop over at Steve Meersman's site and leave his wife and three children your condolences. He valiantly recorded his ordeal with ALS aka Lou Gehrig’s disease since August 2005. Thank goodness he is now at peace.

Rest in peace, Steve...

Nomas, on the subject of death...

Having faced it very closely myself some years ago, when you really accept it (and that is the hardest part)the the rest is easy/peaceful... You just let go...

It is all the things up to that moment that you cling to -- your memories, the things you do, see, hear, feel, smell, taste...

I went to a morgue once (I knew one of the investigators) and when I saw the bodies, I knew for sure that we have souls...

They ALL look like maniquinns in the morgue, from the recently brought in bodies to the unclaimed ones who have been there for a month or more(sp?), not human any more.
What you see in a casket has been dressed, made-up, features rearranged, lit, etc...

What you see without all that is simply an empty vessel...
No personality anymore, none of the animation you even see in someone who is sleeping...

Our souls make us who we are... Life has a lot of pain it in, and some pleasure... Maybe it's all about the lessons we are supposed to learn, and how gracefully we do that, if we do...

I think our souls go on after death, but where/how I'm not really sure. I just know for a 1,000% that we have them...

You said on Hammers blog.

"Someone should write a book on corporate bullshit: Individual stories that most everyone has in their pocket. "

Ah, are you not following Scott Adams?

Loving Annie, death, it is not an issue with me. In fact I'm amazed that I'm still here.

Death of a body is such a minor thing to an omnipresent spirit.

Annie: I agree with you - the body is just a shell and our exsistence is based on our souls. If we could only know the answer to the true mystery of where our souls go after shedding the shell.

Bcc: No, I hadn't heard of Scott Adams! Thank you - I'll check him out.
